Welcome to First Congregational United Church of Christ! First Congregational United Church of Christ is a congregation full of dedicated people who love to serve the Lord and the community around us. They come from all walks of life with many different backgrounds, and they gather to worship and serve Jesus Christ. No matter how young you are or how old you may feel, we encourage you to join us on Sunday mornings for worship.
Maybe you're asking the question: "Why should I choose to come to First Congregational UCC?" In the Lake Mills community, there are many different churches in which people might choose to worship. Many of these churches are faithful, loving, welcoming, and committed to serving Christ Jesus. I encourage you to check them out. But let me share with you why I think that the First Congregational United Church of Christ is a special place for worship.
I believe that the First Congregational United Church of Christ is Christ-centered. This means that everything that we do and say is focused around Jesus Christ. Our worship, board meetings, and fellowship events revolve around the belief that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior. Our purpose is to serve Christ, and to praise Him at ALL times! We fully understand that without Christ, our lives would have no meaning or purpose.
You are Welcomed!!!! I believe that everyone is a child of God, and you are special! I don't care where you work, how young or old you may be, the color of your skin, your gender, or your sexual orientation- you are welcomed to join us in worshiping Jesus Christ. No one has the right to stop you from worshiping, and at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, you have a home to worship in.
Finally, we LOVE to laugh as we serve God! We believe that once you truly accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, your outlook on life changes. As a person, you understand that your earthly life is short-so you make every day count, you feel happier because you are serving a living God, and you view life as a ministry. Life becomes a joy because you are living for God and not this world.

Rev. Neil Partington
About Our Pastor
Prior to coming to Lake Mills, Rev. Partington was the pastor at Emmanuel UCC in Mountaintop, Pennsylvania. He received his bachelor's degree in Interpersonal Communications from Bloomsburg University in 1999, and his Masters of Divinity from Lancaster Theological Seminary in 2002.
Rev. Neil Partington is married to Annie Partington, and has three young boys: Joshua, Noah, and Caleb (born October 26, 2005). Rev. Partington's hobbies include canoeing, hiking, backpacking, biking, reading, and family time.
